- Manage day-to-day operations of multiple complex projects from start to finish including budgets, deliverables, milestones, and required activities; communicating project status with consultants and clients on a regular basis.
- Utilize company tools, software and methodology, as appropriate, for management of all client projects.
- Collaborate with consulting team members and clients to gather requirements for the creation of both internal and client-facing documentation and reports, data analysis benchmarking, and other project specific deliverables.
- Contribute to and take ownership in the preparation of client deliverables, including presentations, reports, and correspondence. Independently create deliverables for client projects.
- Support special initiatives and projects, including selection and implementation of new technology and tools to be used by PMO.
- Coordinate the collection and dissemination of research resources, such as industry-published reports.
- Participate in and provide leadership in company initiatives and special projects as directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 3+ years proven project management experience and the ability to manage multiple components of complex projects.
- Sustained ability to provide mentorship and training, as well as model positive professional behavior to team members.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to exercise excellent judgement and decision-making skills.
- Well-developed organizational and prioritization skills; flexibility; attention to detail; and the ability to work both independently and with a team toward a common goal.
- Experience monitoring client project budgets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, and interpersonal skills; initiative and follow-through; sound discretion and judgment.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Proficiency in project management tools, survey software, database applications and Internet research tools. Salesforce experience a plus.
- Solid time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- PMP or other project management certification a plus.
- Familiarity with the nonprofit sector a plus.
- This position can be remote or based in our Minneapolis office (locally based employees are expected to maintain a hybrid office presence).
- Position requires ability to work in a stationary position for majority of workday.
- Continuous use of computer.
- Frequent communication with team and clients via zoom and in person.
- This is an exempt position that requires at least 40 hour of work per week but due to the nature of this role, additional hours are required when deadlines need to be met.
- Overnight travel to client sites, conferences or firm meetings is sometimes required (up to 25%).
